A special homecoming for Ayesha Curry as Sweet July Cafe opens at The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte, in partnership with Chef Michael Mina.

The MINA Group celebrates the opening of Sweet July Cafe at The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte, marking a meaningful homecoming for entrepreneur and restaurateur Ayesha Curry. Developed in partnership with longtime friend and collaborator Chef Michael Mina, the cafe brings Curry’s signature warmth and approach to hospitality to the city where she and her husband, Stephen Curry, grew up.

Blending California’s wellness-inspired food culture with the warmth of Caribbean hospitality, Sweet July Cafe offers a fresh take on everyday dining. The menu celebrates vibrant, nourishing ingredients with a balance of wholesome offerings and thoughtful indulgences, complemented by specialty coffees, smoothies, and house-made sweets. Designed for both a quick visit and a more leisurely experience, the welcoming space brings a new gathering place to the heart of Uptown Charlotte.

Following the debut of Sweet July Cafe at Regent Santa Monica Beach, the Charlotte opening marks the concept’s second location and the first of three MINA Group dining destinations at The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte. Bourbon Steak and The Eighth Rule, a bourbon bar developed in partnership with Stephen Curry, are set to follow in early 2027.
