On Thursday, September 18, join Chef Michael Mina for an intimate culinary journey at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club. Part of the Gourmet Gatherings series, this exclusive evening brings Chef Mina’s signature artistry to the resort’s Wine Cave — a setting where vintages breathe, stories are shared, and each course reflects a harmony of region, season, and soul.
The night begins with a cocktail reception on the Wine Terrace as Chef Mina mingles with guests, presenting artisan tray-passed bites such as Smoked Blue Fin Tuna Cigar, Wagyu & Prawns Toast, and Mama Mina’s Falafel. From there, guests are invited into the Wine Cave for a multi-course dinner prepared and presented by Chef Mina himself.
Highlights of the menu include his celebrated Caviar Parfait, a luxurious Diver Scallop with White Truffles and Lobster Ravioli, Slow Roasted Duck with Smoked Beet Purée, and a decadent Beef Duo featuring Japanese A5 Wagyu and Red Wine Braised Beef Cheek. The evening concludes with a Brownie Chocolate Mousse with Fig Pistachio Frangipani, paired with a 10-year Madeira.
As a special finale, each guest will enjoy dessert with Chef Mina and receive a signed copy of his new cookbook, My Egypt: Cooking From My Roots — a personal exploration of the flavors and traditions that shaped his journey from Cairo to California and beyond.
