Chef Michael Mina First “House Guest” For Voltaggio Brothers At Sold-Out Room at MGM National Harbor

The inaugural, sold-out event featured James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Mina and a five-course menu that celebrated the tastes of Chef Mina’s new cookbook, My Egypt: Cooking from My Roots, and the brothers’ creative culinary talents.

“My favorite part of tonight was not only welcoming a great friend but also a mentor – someone we respect immensely – into our home,” said Chef Bryan Voltaggio. “We were honored to have a culinary legend like Chef Mina join us for this first event and start the dinner series on a high note.”

Throughout the evening, the chefs mingled with guests and encouraged them to share their input on who the next House Guest should be.

Chef Michael Mina said, “It was an absolute pleasure to be the first House Guest at Bryan and Michael’s new dinner series. I always have so much fun when we’re together, and this event felt like we were just at their house cooking for a bunch of friends, which to me is the perfect evening! I was honored they asked me to present dishes from my new cookbook, My Egypt, as part of the menu, as I was excited to be able to share a bit of my heritage alongside their incredible menu.”

Chef Michael Voltaggio said, “Chef Mina is not only a friend, but someone we looked up to in our careers, so it was very special to share the kitchen with him at our home at MGM National Harbor. Cooking side-by-side with your hero is truly surreal and I’m happy we were able to come together to share that magic with our guests.”
